October 31, 2017

Here is a little cosmic Halloween treat for everyone. The ghost nebula in Cepheus, spans 2 light years across, and is well known for its eerie appearance. In this view, you are looking at 14 hours of total exposure time. It is extremely faint, particularly the outer brown nebulosity. Captured in mid-July under very good to excellent seeing conditions.
