NGC6946 - Fireworks Galaxy

January 22, 2016

The Fireworks galaxy in the constellation Cepheus, is a very diffused spiral, with very low surface brightness. Dark skies and good conditions are all required to get good data on this. I love the delicate detail in the arms, the contrast between the different colors and the H2 pink regions captured in this view.
